Baby Registry Checklist: What to Put on Your Registry

Building a baby registry can feel overwhelming. This checklist covers the essentials, room by room and need by need, so you can register for what you'll actually use — and make gifting easy for family and friends.

Tips for building a great baby registry

Start around the second trimester

That gives family plenty of time to shop before a baby shower, without rushing.

Mix price points

Include small, medium, and big items so everyone can find something that fits their budget.

Register for sizes beyond newborn

Many babies skip newborn sizes quickly. Clothes in 3–6 and 6–12 months get far more wear.

Think past the first few months

High chairs, toddler books, and bigger clothes are all useful later — and family keeps gifting long after the shower.

Keep it updated

Remove what you've received or no longer need so guests aren't buying duplicates.

The registry ends — gifting doesn't

A registry covers the shower. Baby Sesame keeps going — parents share their child's current sizes, favorites, wishlists, and upcoming events in one place, so family and friends always know what to give, at every age.
